“I have taught thee in the way of
wisdom; I have led thee in right paths...” (Proverbs 4:11)
Esther was
able to change her world and deliver her people because of one quality; I call
it ‘Godly Wisdom’. The bible says in
the last part of Ecclesiastics 10:10, “…wisdom is profitable to direct.” A
person of wisdom will always be found at the right place at the exact time. If
you have wisdom, you will always move in the right direction. Wisdom will make
you do and say what you are supposed to as at when due.
Esther
realized that King Ahasuerus liked a good banquet and she used this knowledge
wisely. In Esther1:3-4 we see that the King made feast for 180 days.The fact
that he was able to party for 180 days proved that the king liked to party and
this was exactly what Queen Vashti kicked against when she dishonored the
king’s invitation in Esther 1:10-12.
Do you know what your King likes?
As Christians, we must talk to God in prayers
and study His word for what He expects of us and what He likes because this
will release Godly wisdom and more
importantly, in the day of trouble you will have God’s express attention.
Similarly, in business you must by wisdom
understand what your boss or clients in the office want and find ways to
achieve it. In marriage, you must by wisdom inquire what your spouse likes
because by so doing, in the day of trouble you will not lack access to him or
her.
Esther knew what her King liked and she used
this information wisely; this enabled her become a deliverer for her generation
in her time.
