“…and exalt the horn of his
anointed” (1Samuel 2:10 KJV)
Remember that the anointing is
the power behind the oil of the Holy Spirit. Without the anointing, the oil is
very ordinary. In Exodus 30:22-25, God commanded Moses to put together five
different ingredients to produce the anointing oil; Myrrh, Cinnamon, Calamus,
Cassia and olive oil.
Every one of these five
ingredients symbolizes something unique in the life of every believer. That is
why God backs the anointing. In this dispensation of grace, it is not the
physical oil we consider, it is the power behind the oil that matters. One of
the ingredients in the anointing oil is the CALAMUS.
The CALAMUS is a type of herb
used in the making of the anointing oil. It is a very soft, fragile and
flexible plant. It symbolizes the fact that when the anointing comes upon you,
you become flexible in the hands of the Almighty God.
The anointing is a maker. It has
the ability to make you eleven times greater than your equals.
