(Ephesians 5:5)
What the above scripture is saying is that those who deliberately lead a sinful life cannot make heaven. Elsewhere, the Bible shows us another list of those that cannot go to heaven. “And there shall in no wise enter into it anything that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie; but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life” (Revelation 21:27).
Apart from the everyday sin that people commit, there are those who go deeper by practicing witchcraft, occultism and other condemnable unnatural things. The bible says such one cannot make heaven. This leads us to the levels of sin that exist. There is a mystery about sin. Study of the Bible reveals that it talks of 'Sin, Iniquity and Abomination'. The fact is that the three words mean sin, but they represent different levels of sin. Make no mistake about it, all and any kind of sin is sin indeed and will be judged.
Let me show you how sin degenerates from one level to another by a few examples. Fornication is sin, adultery is iniquity, and homosexuality is an abomination. Homosexuality is an abomination because it is not natural for people of the same sex to have it with each other. When sin degenerates to the unnatural, it becomes an abomination. An abomination is something that will bring shame to you, in addition to not being natural.
Jealousy is sin, hatred is iniquity, and murder is an abomination. Once again, murder is an abomination because when one commits it, they have stepped out of what is natural to man. I hope you know there is a connection between jealousy, hatred and murder? Those who are easily jealous are susceptible to hating others and murder is easily carried out on those hated.
I advice that you deal with and kill whatever sin that is besetting you at its elementary stage because if you do not, it will degenerate into unnatural, and at that point you have very nearly missed heaven, unless God intervenes. By the way, most of the sins that people find themselves committing are caused by the wrong foundation that they were born into.
