Any
spiritual giant that is positioned on your way to your promised land is
designed to contend with and hinder you. You should understand that such
a giant is not your friend. Teaching about the agents of hindrances, our Lord
Jesus says: “Woe unto you, lawyers! For ye have taken away
the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves and them that were entering
in ye hindered” (Luke 11:52).
In
1 Thessalonians 2:18, the Apostle Paul says: “Wherefore we would
have come unto you, even I Paul, once and again, but Satan hindered us.”
The
Prophet Nehemiah, by the leading of the Holy Spirit, also says: “And
conspired all of them together to come and to fight against Jerusalem,
and to hinder it” (Nehemiah 4:8).
There
are people who are agents of hindrance. After people have worked very
hard, they hinder the result of their labour. No wonder King David said: “…
O LORD, I pray Thee, turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness” (II
Samuel 15:31).
“Compromise” means
“to weaken one’s position by lowering one’s standards.” When you
compromise, you usually weaken your position. And the weakening results
from a lowering of standards. God by His word has given us a standard of
living. You cannot compromise without lowering your standard.
You
may then ask: “How do I avoid compromising my God- given standard?”
The simple answer is that you must walk in the ways of God your heavenly
Father. In other words you must take your stand for God and in God and
refuse to compromise your faith.
Prayer/Confession:
In the name of Jesus, any satanic conspiracy in the
coven, under the water, in a witchdoctor’s house or in my family, Lord turns it
to foolishness. Amen!!!
