“And David went on, and grew great, and the Lord
God of hosts was with him” 2 Samuel 5:10
The scripture above says, “and David went
on...”. It was in the process of going on that he grew great. When he got to
Zion, where he was actually headed to, he went on.
You must understand that even if you are in
the place of your destiny, it is in stages and it would not be fulfilled
overnight. It will unfold one step at a time. You must go on. Anytime you think
that you have arrived probably because you are wealthy, have a fleet of cars,
many houses etc, you have made yourself a fool. The battles in life is not over
until your life is over.
Never be content with where you are
spiritually. Desire to grow higher and better than where you are. In your
ministry, you can do better. Do not stay in one place. Move on to the next
level.
David went on. Are you stagnant or you are
still going on? You would have thought that immediately David entered Zion, his
troubles were over.
In verse 17, when the philistines heard that
David was made king, they prepared for battle. In Zion, there were battles to
fight but God gave him the victory. As you go through this year, your destiny will
begin to unfold. Apart from your salvation and going to heaven, the next most
important thing in your life is your destiny. As you move on with Christ this
year, you will move towards the fulfillment of your destiny. there may be
challenges and battles to fight but God will give you victory. if you move away
from Christ this year, you would be moving away from your destiny because it is
only in Christ that your destiny can be fulfilled.
Prayer/Confession: O Lord, as i move with you
this year, my destiny will be fulfilled in the name of Jesus. I receive my
destiny out of Zion. Satan I challenge you, I know you will fight but my
destiny is in my hands, God gave it to me. Like David, I will go on and become
great for Jehovah Saboth, the Lord of Host is with me,. Thank you father for my
destiny shall be fulfilled in the name of Jesus.
