“And there was a great famine in Samaria: and,
behold, they besieged it, until an ass's head was sold for fourscore pieces of
silver, and the fourth part of a cab of dove's dung
for five pieces of silver.” (2 Kings 6:25)
The
bible tells us that there was famine in Samaria, it was so bad that two women
agreed to eat each other’s child. The situation looked so bad and in the
natural, there seemed to be no hope. Samaria was in a hopeless state but in chapter
7 Elisha the prophet said “hear ye the word of the Lord; thus saith the Lord,
tomorrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be sold
for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria”.
God spoke in the hopeless situation. As you
study and hear the word of the Lord today, every hopeless situation (sickness,
disease, family trouble, kidney disease, cancer, etc ) in your life will bow.
The word of the Lord prevails in hopeless situations.
When God said, “by this time tomorrow food
will be so surplus you may not even need money to buy it”, it did not sound
humanly possible because the famine was so severe but God said it and it came
to pass. In Hebrews 4:12, the word of the Lord is quick
and powerful. With men, it may be impossible but with God all things are
possible. If God says a thing, He is too faithful to fail he will bring it to
pass. Put your trust in God.
You may
be diagnosed of a sickness that has no hope of a cure, every one might have
told you that there is no hope but you must know that your God is not limited
by what a man thinks, you serve a mighty God what he did yesterday he will do
again, he is a powerful God he can touch you where you are. The word of the Lord will be made manifest
today in your life
Prayer/Confession:
Father, today I hold on to your word
concerning my life let it prevail over my life and destiny. I speak the word of
God into my life, health, job and family.
