“But first must he suffer many things, and be
rejected of this generation. And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be
also in the days of the Son of man. They did eat, they drank, they married
wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the
ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.” Luke 17:25-27
Sometimes, people reject the word of God. They
get puffed up as soon as you start talking about Jesus. They feel they know everything.
The story of the world today is like the story of the days of Noah in Genesis
8. In the above scripture, when the Lord said to
Noah, “build an ark”, the people did not believe him. The scientists would have
examined the atmosphere and said it wasn't necessary. It is good to have degrees but when you have it
outside Christ, there is a problem.
Noah did not listen to them; he went ahead and
built the ark. People would have looked at him and called him crazy. Noah built the ark while they laughed. While
they were still laughing, Noah and his family moved into the ark, locked it and
God took the keys so that thereafter, Noah would not have compassion on people.
See Genesis 7:16 Suddenly, the rains began. It was a different
kind of rain. People expected the rain to stop but it didn't. The flood was
gradually coming together. I believe people were running to the ark saying,
“Please i’m sorry, open the door” and Noah would have said, “I’m sorry, the key
is with Jesus”.
When Human beings refused to listen, animals
entered, the door was locked and they perished in the flood. Animals took the
place of human beings in the ark. What will an intellectual do when he comes face
to face with death. We shall all stand before God someday and you
shall explain to God what you did with your life. We shall all give account.
Today, Jesus is that ark, and the door is still
open, you can still enter.
Prayer/Confession: Nothing will take my place in
the name of Jesus. I will serve the Lord with my whole heart.
