“For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and
stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry (or an idol worshiper). Because thou
hast rejected the word of the Lord, he hath also rejected thee from being
king.” (1 Samuel 15:23)
You submit to the
people you love, respect, and honour. The reason some people find it difficult
to submit to anyone is that they erroneously believe that they are better than
or at par with everyone. This is not God's desire for them. Scripturally you
can show agape love to those you love even in their absence.
I attack the seed
of rebellion that drives you to flout laws with reckless abandon. If you only
do your own thing your own way, even when you know it is wrong, or you enact
your own laws to suit your own whims and caprices, I take the causative,
unwelcome spirit from you, in Jesus’ name! Saul lost his kingdom but you will
not be counted among losers.
I advise you to
learn from the lives of those who rebelled against God in the Bible and align
your life to God's desire for your life. In the case of Saul, he had no
opportunity to repent. The Bible says as Samuel turned back to go, after he had
pronounced that the kingdom had left Saul. Saul, attempting to ask for mercy, grabbed
Samuel’s skirt, and rent it. And Samuel said to him, “The LORD hath rent the kingdom
of Israel from thee this day, and hath given it to a neighbour of thine, that
is better than thou.” (1 Samuel 15:28)
No one will
manipulate you into rebellion. They will not rent away whatever God has given
you. Anyone that wants to destroy you through rebellion will go for your sake.
WORDS OF WISDOM: You submit to the people you love, respect and honour.
PRAYER/CONFESSION: Spirit of stubbornness, I cast you out. Father, overwhelm me with
the spirit of submission, in Jesus’ name.
