#EaglesDevotional - INHERITANCE

“In those days there was no king in Israel. And in those days the tribe of the Danites was seeking an inheritance for itself to dwell in; for until that day their whole inheritance among the tribes of Israel had not fallen to them.”  (Judges 18:1)

Looking closely at today’s scripture, it is safe to say that the people of Dan were deprived of their inheritance. When it comes to inheritance, there are only two (2) scenarios; it is either you get it or you don’t. In this case the Danites did not receive their inheritance.
The bible also tells us that Danites had to search for a place to dwell. When you do not receive what is due, you will run around in search of rest and satisfaction.

There are a lot of children with wealthy parents who live as poor people because their inheritance has been taken from them. Family members may have used witchcraft powers to steal their inheritance; some even physically chase children out of their father’s house. This is a demonic act. Same way the people of Dan had to fight to get an inheritance, I defeat every evil power depriving you of your inheritance, in the mighty name of Jesus.
The first statement in Judges 18:1 is “In those days there was no king in Israel…” this could imply that one of the reasons the Danites were deprived was because there was no superior authority to cry to. Do you have a king that you can run to? And if you say God is your King, have you handed over the issues of your life to Him?

You naturally suffer some setbacks simply because you failed to hand over the situation to the King of kings. Unlike the people of Dan, you have a King, but do you run to your King? If things hardly work out in your life, it may just be that you have not invited the King of kings to rule over your situation and take judgment. Invite Him now and whatever you are going through will be over.
