"And it came
to pass in those days, when Moses was grown, that he went out unto his
brethren, and looked on their burdens: and he spied an Egyptian smiting an
Hebrew, one of his brethren.” Exodus 2:11
The question now is; why was Moses not discouraged, disappointed
or disgruntled? Why did Moses keep going back to Pharaoh? This is because God
delivered him from three things that i will show you.
First, God delivered Moses from Pharaoh’s intellectual control.
Moses was educated in Pharaoh’s house. In other words, he had the world’s
education. There is actually nothing wrong with education but the only problem
is the world system teaches you to think like a natural man. The world system
teaches you to believe your senses alone. You are moved by what you seem smell,
touch or feel.
In Exodus 2 from verse 11, When Moses was grown and realized that
he was a Hebrew instead of thinking like a Hebrew he acted like an Egyptian. He
became violent. He saw the sufferings of his people and thought it was a war in
the flesh. The Bible says in Ephesians 6:12 “For we wrestle not against flesh
and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of
the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Even
when a man is standing between you and your portion, there is a spirit behind
that man. It is the Pharaoh standing between you and your portion.
It is not by what you see but it is by the word of God. It may not
look good in your eyes right now but as long as God gave you that portion as a
gift, open the eyes of your spirit and face your Pharaoh in the place of
prayer.
There are many of you reading this devotional; what you see in the
doctor’s report or your bank account is not good, what you feel in your body
and what people are saying to your ears is not good. Regardless of what you
see, feel or hear, remember that it is your portion.
Prayer/Confession: Lord, deliver me from Pharaoh’s
intellectual control. I will not walk in the world system. I take my portion in
Jesus name.
