“But
the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days; but, lo,
Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me.” (Daniel 10:13)
The
prince of Persia is a principality. The pertinent question then is: “Why did he
withstand angel Gabriel?” Angel Gabriel was bringing a heavy duty package to
Daniel. In fact the Arch-Angel Michael had to join in the battle before Gabriel
maneuvered himself to reach Daniel.
In
the thirteenth chapter of the book of Acts, a strange event is recorded. There
was a wizard called. Bar-Jesus. 'Bar-Jesus' means 'son of Jesus'. What an irony? This demands that you should be wary of who you trust and deal
with in the house of God.
This
wizard named Bar-Jesus knew that the Mayor of the city had the key to the city
so he bewitched him to the extent that the mayor trusted him.
When
the mayor, by name Sergius Paulus, invited Paul and Silas because he desired to
hear the word of God, the Bible says: “But Elymus the sorcerer…” withstood
them seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith. Why?
It
was because of what Paul was carrying. Don’t be surprised, when you see
oppositions in your life. It is because of what you are carrying. You carry a
seed of greatness the devil is trying to stop from manifesting but Child of
God, by the power in the Word of God and the Grace accompanying this
devotional, every opposition in your life is defeated now and forever in Jesus
Name.
In
II Timothy 3:8, the Bible says, “Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood
Moses…” The two men who withstood Moses were magicians in Pharaoh’s
palace but they failed.
The
truth I want you to realize is that if you are carrying something valuable,
hell and all the powers of darkness are going to fight or withstand you but
they will fail.
Do
you have a promise from God? Do you believe God for the manifestations of His
promises in your life? Then do not be afraid because you serve a mighty God, He
will deliver you and take you to the promise land.
Prayer/Confession:
The Lord will help me. O Lord, in the name of Jesus, the enemy I have
defeated must not come back to defeat me, in Jesus mighty name, Amen.
