“Then she lulled him to sleep on her knees;
and called for a man and had him shave off the seven locks of his head. Then
she began to torment him, and his strength left him.” (JUDGES 16: 19)
God has put in you, supernatural gifts that if harnessed properly
will make you fulfill your God given destiny in life. However, your gifts can
open doors for you but you must understand that it is your character that can
keep you in the open doors. A gifted man without good character is headed for
destruction. Character on the other hand refers to the kind of fruits your life
produce. Galatians 5:22 tells us the fruits every believer should produce. They
include, love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Meekness, and temperance.
In Judges
the Bible talked about Samson. God put supernatural strength in that young man;
Strength that didn’t come from lifting weights; it was a gift from God.He could
be said to be a man who had Charisma.
Samson with
his bare hands pulled the gate of a city;with his bare hands he killed a lion;
with his bare hands and the jawbone of an ass, he killed 1000 men. He had
Charisma but lacked Character. He had the gift, but no fruit. When you live a
life which produces no fruit of the spirit, you will lose your inheritance.
Samson slept with anything that he could find, and ended up on the laps of
Delilah. Delilah represents the works of the flesh as seen in Gal 5:18-21.
Samson lost
his inheritance because of the way of life he lived. His glory was taken, his
strength left him, they plucked out his eyes.Eyes speak of vision. In other
words, they limited him. They took his vision, perception and bound him. He
began to go around in circles, what a shame!
But eventually, the Bible says Samson came to himself, When Samson came to
himself he returned to his God, he cried out to his God for

come to Him, if you purify yourself today, Jesus will save you.
PRAYER/CONFESSION:Lift your
hand and say help me O God, do not let my glory depart from me. Restore unto me
all that I have lost in Jesus Name.
