“He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much. If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?” Luke 16: 10-11
PRINCIPLE NO 1: FAITHFULNESS IN LITTLE THINGS
If you are not faithful in little, you will
not be faithful in much and because God knows you will not be faithful in much,
you will not see much. Any man who is carefree about the little things/work of
God will fail as a pastor.
Any man who cannot take a rag to clean chairs
in church without anyone telling him will fail as a leader. It applies in every
area of life. If you are always looking for people to serve you, you will not
make progress in life. Jesus said, the son of man did not come to be served but
He came to serve.
If you do not take care of little things, you
will not make much progress.
PRINCIPLE NO 2: FAITHFULNESS WITH THE
UNRIGHTEOUS MAMMON
Unrighteous mammon is talking about money.
Money is the least in the kingdom of God. If you cannot be faithful with money,
God will not put His spirit in your life. Your destiny cannot happen when you
eat money given to you to hold, whether church money or office money; you are
in trouble. If you steal money. Most of these things are
tests to your life. If you fail the test of money, you have failed and you will
not make progress.
How do you handle money? Do you tremble when
you see money? There are people who pay their tithes only when they are happy.
The day they are not happy, they do not pay tithes. You do not understand the
principle behind tithing.
We are stewards of Christ. You are a steward
of time, money, talent, abilities. Nothing you own belongs to you. The tithe
belongs to God. You have no business with it. Some do not pay when they have
small money. If you do so, you have failed the test. You have to repeat that
class. There are people who run from church when they have money. They lack
understanding.
If you are not faithful with money, God will not commit true riches to you.
If you are not faithful with money, God will not commit true riches to you.
Prayer/Confession: In the name of Jesus, I
refuse to be stagnant in life. My life must make progress in every area. Give
me the grace to be faithful to all that you have committed to my hands in the
name of Jesus.
