The fear of the Lord is to hate evil…” Proverbs
8:13
This type of fear connotes “reverence”. If you
put the above scripture in another way, it would read; ‘the evidence of your
claim that you fear God is illustrated by how sincerely you hate evil. The
greatest of the world today is the absence of the fear of God. If you actually
fear God then you would refrain from evil.
If you fear God, the bible will be the closest
book toy your heart and it will be your priority to possess. The fear of God is
very important because if you lack the fear God, life will not fear you. So if you
do not allow the word of God mold your life, your mates will leave you behind.
Whatever you are enjoying to the detriment of your
career, education and salvation is a trap. I urge you to take a cue from Joseph
who asked: @how then can I do this great wickedness and sin against God? Joseph
was a man with the fear of God. You do not need anyone to monitor you in order for
you to fear God.
PRAYER/CONFESSION: Lord, make a way
for me. Baptize me with Holy Ghost power. O Lord, let your word mold every aspect
of my life. Cause me to hate anything evil in the name of Jesus.
