“And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is
my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased”. Matthew 3:17
Faithfulness is total commitment to the work
God has put in your hands. The father was well pleased with Jesus because he
was faithful.
Remember at this time in the scripture above,
Jesus had not performed any miracle or healed any sick person. He was just a
carpenter serving Joseph faithfully. If people were there, they would have
said, but Jesus hasn’t done anything. How come God was so pleased with Him? What man is looking for is not what God is
looking for. God is pleased when you are faithful.
Jesus is the son of God yet He contained
himself as a carpenter for 30 years serving a man faithfully. He could have
said, “I am the son of God, how can I work for an ordinary man” but he didn’t.
He knew He was the son of God but God had given him a job as a carpenter and He
was faithful to his boss, Joseph. It was this faithfulness God saw that made
Him pleased. It took more anointing to contain Himself than to heal the sick.
Even today, God is not seeking believers who
can prophesy or heal the sick or even cast out demons; God is looking for
faithful men and women. Your talents, gifts, money, prophesy, etc does not
impress God. There are some believers who go late for their ministry meetings
but when they enter, they want to prophesy. That prophecy is questionable. You
are wasting everybody’s time. Go and check your life and adjust your life. You
owe debts everywhere yet you are crying for anointing. You borrow money and do
not pay back. Your creditors get discouraged by your pretenses. You want
anointing but you do not pay your government tax.
Do you keep your words or make excuses for
failing to keep your words? God expects you to be faithful in natural
things. It pleases God. You will never fulfill destiny until you pass the test
of faithfulness in natural things.
It is not big things that stop you from
fulfilling destiny. It is small things. Do not use your hands to stop your
destiny, deal with yourself. God did not destine anyone
for failure. God planned your destiny to be good but you must keep your part of
the partnership. God is faithful; He will perform what He says to you. You can
claim and walk into your destiny but you must be faithful in natural things and
your faithfulness must be a way of life. When you understand this, you will
fulfill destiny.
Prayer/Confession: O Lord, set me free from
unfaithfulness in little things.
