“And he walked in the way of the house of
Ahab, and did evil in the sight of the LORD, as did the house of Ahab: for he
was the son in law of the house of Ahab”, (2 Kings 8:27).
The Bible talks of a king by the
name Ahaziah. He became the king of
Judah at the age of twenty-two years. He
reigned for one year only in Jerusalem because of sin. Ahaziah did evil in the
sight of God. What this passage means is that Ahaziah died. He died at the age of twenty-three
years. That is what sin does to someone
who tries to negotiate with the devil. I
plead with you as God’s servant to stay away from sinful acts. It will only reduce your life span.
My prayer for you is that God will not allow
you to be a victim of sin, in Jesus name. The devil also reduces life span
through covenants and curses. Most times evil covenants and curses originate
from the family. That is why there are
families where different calamities befall.
I have seen a family where no male child has attained the age of fifty
years. It is not ordinary. A medical doctor cannot assist them because
it is beyond medical science. There are
things their forefathers have done that are affecting their male children. When you read 1 Samuel 2:32b, the
Bible says, “…In all the wealth which God shall give Israel: and there shall
not be an old man in thine house forever.”
This curse came upon the house of Eli as a result of the evil atrocity
Eli’s sons did by stealing church funds and sleeping with women in the house of
God, the LORD became angry and pronounced a curse on Eli’s house. Please be careful with how you live your live
so that you do not incur the wrath of God that will not only affect you but
also your generations after you.
Prayer: Oh LORD, by fire I set my household free from all
evil covenants and curses, in Jesus name!
