Philip
findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the
law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph. And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any
good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see. (John
1:45-46)
The bible tells us that Andrew was
found by Christ and he found his brother peter and he was saved, Jesus met
Phillip who found Nathaniel and he was saved, the question is who have you
found for Christ? If you say that you are a Christian how many have you found
for Christ. In the New Testament once a person is saved there is zeal to
evangelize, if you say you are Christian, evangelism should be paramount, if
you say you are born again, there should be a change in you, this is seen in
winning souls for Christ. There should be a great change if you are born again.
There
cannot be a conversion without a change. One of the ways to get to the heart of
God is to seek out and win souls for His kingdom. In Proverbs 11:30,”… he that winneth souls is wise”.
Whom have you found for Christ?
The most interesting thing as seen in this scripture is that the people
that were found remained in Christ; If you say you found someone, the next
question is, are they still in Christ,
still serving God? Now is the time for us as Christians to fulfill the word of
God by going into the world and win souls for Christ. We cannot deny the fact
that based on what is happening in the world, the killings, oppression, high
rate of immorality, hardship it is a logical conclusion that Jesus is coming
soon. ask yourself this question, if I am a Christian how many persons have I
found for Christ?
Prayer/Confession:
O Lord I know your intention for my
life it is to win souls for your kingdom, O God give me the grace and the will
to fulfill it that as from today I will project your supremacy for the world to
see, in Jesus name Amen.
