“But when Sanballat the Horonite, and Tobiah
the servant, the Ammonite, and Geshem the Arabian, heard it, they laughed us to scorn, and despised us,
and said, What is this thing that ye do?
will ye rebel against the king?” Nehemiah 2:19
For 150years, the city of Jerusalem lay waste
and every one said, forget it, Jerusalem is finished. But a young man named
Nehemiah read the word and saw that God wanted to rebuild Jerusalem. He went to
Jerusalem, gathered the people and told them they would rebuild the walls. In Nehemiah 2:19, three men named Samballat,
Tobaih and Geshem connived and laughed him to scorn, they mocked at him. They
said, “are you not aware that the city has been like this for 150years and you
small boy just want to wake up and change it”.
Mockery is a potent weapon of the devil. The
devil can use it to disarm you. There are some persons who have left church
because people mocked at them. For some, their faith is wavering because people
are laughing at them. It may be that people are laughing at you and
saying all sort of things to you because you are waiting on the Lord for your
expectation.
They mock at you. Some even boast at your face
that your expectation is impossibility.
All the people who laugh at you will join you to
laugh. They will laugh with you. They will hear your voice. They will not shut
your mouth because the hand of God is upon you. Your testimony will manifest.
As you reject every word they spoke against you, God will set you free.
In Nehemiah 4:8, they ganged up, organised and
fought against Jerusalem but God gave Nehemiah victory.
People may have ganged up against you or are
fighting against you. Everywhere you go, they tell you, they have gathered
against you, but the God you serve will put them to shame. Your God answers by
fire. His hand is upon your life. In your mind, body, education, life, business
etc, reject every negativity. They want you to cry. Wipe your tears. Your God
will give you the victory.
Prayer/Confession: In the name of Jesus, Lord
you said, if 2 will agree, by the spirit of agreement, I join heaven to reject
any satanic intention and imaginations towards me in the name of Jesus. I
reject death, confusion, sickness, troubles, demonic oppression from my marriage,
life, business, job, satan come out in the name of Jesus. Every blessing of
Abraham belongs to me. I receive it in the name of Jesus. Thank you father.
