“Be careful
for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving
let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth
all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus”
Philippians 4:6-7
There are 2 kinds of miracle. The first kind is
instantaneous miracle. That is when you pray and see the result immediately. It
is on the spot miracle. The 2nd kind of miracle is called
progressive miracle. They do not happen immediately. You must understand that
the day you prayed a prayer, the miracle process began. In time, the
manifestation will come to pass and people will see the evidence.
The question is what happens between the time you
pray and the time when you see the manifestation? That is the most trying
period of your life. That is when the devil fights you most. The devil will
discourage you because he knows you are vulnerable at that point. You may have
prayed about something and you are discouraged. God is saying to you, today,
you will come out with an attitude of praise.
The devil will not stop the
miracle. If God says it, He will bring it to pass. God is working on your
behalf. It is a trying time. It looks as if God is not doing anything because
you do not know what you cannot see. You only know what you see. But As a child
of God, you must understand that even when you do not see anything, God is
working on your behalf. That is when the devil tempts you. In Philippians 4:6,
Paul says, be careful (anxious) for nothing but in everything, by prayer and
supplication with thanksgiving, let
your requests be made known to God.
People pray and do supplications but they
do not give thanks. The Bible did not say, after you pray and God has done it,
give thanks to God. Thanksgiving ought to be part of the prayer. Many prayers
do not work because we do not include thanksgiving even when it looks bleak. Develop
an attitude of praise and begin to thank God for your expectation.
Prayer/Confession:
Father, I give you thanks because I know you are a faithful God. I thank you
for my expectations shall not be cut of in the name of Jesus, Amen.
