“I am persuaded that neither death nor
life, height, depth, weight can separate us from the love of Christ” (Romans
8:37-39)
When
Jacob was about to die he spoke prophetically to his children one by one, when
it got to the turn of Gad he said, a
troop will overcome him initially but at the end he shall overcome. In the
above scripture Apostle Paul said “I am
persuaded that neither death nor life, height, depth, weight can separate us
from the love of Christ”. Paul was talking about being an over comer, it is the
will of God for you to be an Overcomer. He wants you to overcome sin, sickness,
diseases, problems and anything you face in life. If God calls you an
Overcomer, you definitely are an Overcomer.
Christianity is not for weaklings but for over comers. When you get born
again, you receive the power to become an overcomer. I know a man who before he
became a Christian used to drink and take marijuana to cover up his shyness so
that he could speak boldly in public but no one knew of the fact that he was
shy. Some of you even your close friends do not know you because you cover up
things, different habits, know today that it is only God who can give you power
to overcome it.
Do not run from your problems, sickness because you are
persuaded that you are an Over comer. If
you are a Christian you are not born to be a weakling, to be oppressed by
sickness, demons but you are an Over comer.
When
you study the bible the words ‘overcomer’, ‘overcame’, and ‘overcometh appears
33 times, it is never the will of God for you to Crawl to the devil or for you to say it is impossible. Impossibility
is not in the dictionary of a Christian. It is for you to face the obstacles
and overcome. It does not matter what you are going through because with God,
all things are possible. 1 John 4:4, says you have overcome them (in the place
of them put what you are facing) because you have the host of heaven living
within you.
If you want the best from God you must be an over comer, you must
rise within you and know His Glory, power that your redeemer lives in every area
of your life: Job lost his property, friends, children but still he said, “ I
know my redeemer lives”. Job was an
overcomer. You must understand that there cannot be promotion without an
examination, a crown without a cross, no miracle without a problem. Why fret
when you have God?
Prayer:
Father in the name of Jesus, I know you
made me an over comer and as am not a weakling I am not afraid of the devices
of the devil, I over come every problems and set back Amen
