“He
that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him
that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst
of the paradise of God”. Revelation 2:7
To be
an overcomer, you must overcome something. In Hebrews 12:27, everything that
can be shaken will be shaken. The shaking will go on even in the church, people
will be shaken and only those who can stand will stand.
Your
life, job, business, faith, marriage may have been shaking. You are to stand in
the midst of it all. You are not to fall. The responsibility to overcome is not
on God but on you because God has given you the power to overcome.
What
must you overcome?
1. You must overcome sin
2. You must overcome the devil
3. You must overcome everything the devil brings
against you such as sickness, disappointment, delay, etc.
God
made us to overcome. God did not say we would not be tempted, or come in face
with sin or trouble but he made us to be overcomers in the midst of it all. Jesus
says, He that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life.
Jesus
died on the cross. That cross was made from a tree. The tree on which Jesus
died has become the tree of life. His death on the tree has brought life to us.
God
wants you to be an overcomer to anything that has come against you and attacked
you. Change your language. Speak positive things. Do not fall on your knees to
satan. God is picking you up to establish you. You are an overcomer. You are to
rule and reign. You are no longer a slave. You have been set free. There is
power within you. The glory of God is upon you. Come out of discouragement,
weakness, tiredness today.
Prayer/Confession:
Jesus, you are the first fruit of overcomers. You overcame satan in the
wilderness. You were tempted in all things but you overcame Him. You overcame
the grave, satan, demons, death, powers. You said, if i overcome, you will give
me of the tree of life. I take authority over every power of the devil in my
life, I rebuke you by the power of God in the name of Jesus. I am an overcomer.
