“And hath
made us kings and priests unto God and his Father...”. Revelation 1:6,
In 1 John 4:17b, the Bible says, “...as He is, so
are we in this world...”. The question you should ask yourself is, How is
Jesus? He is the King of kings and if so, you also are a
king. In 1 peter 2:9, the Bible says “But ye are a chosen generation, a
royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth
the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light”.
In 1 Samuel 16, God wanted to pick a King. Saul
has messed up and God had dropped Him. You would expect God to pick another
King from the house of Saul but God sent Samuel to the house of Jesse. Jesse
had eight children. When the first one came, Samuel said, he looked like a King
but God stopped him, the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th,
6th,and 7th one passed but God said No. Samuel asked if
there was anyone else and Jesse said, the last one is a small boy. As soon as
David stepped in the spirit of the Lord, said, anoint him for he is.
David didn’t look as one.
You may not look like a king but God says, you
are to reign as a king. When the devil hits you, rise up and hit him back. Do
not remain on the floor. You are what God says you are. In Ecclesiastics 8:4,
the Bible says, where the word of a king is, there is power. When a king talks,
people listen. In Job 22:28, Job said, “Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it
shall be established unto thee”.
It is a king that decrees things. You are a King.
After David was anointed king, Saul had an evil spirit. They called David to
play music. As David played music and sang, the evil spirit left Saul. This was
because David played and sang like a king. And the words of a king are
powerful. Although at this time he was not yet recognized as a king but David
knew he was a king. Your friends and family may think you are a nobody but if
you know who you are, you will rise up and say to the devil, i know who i am. I
am what God says i am.
Prayer/ Confession: I know who I am. I am a king
in this world. I shall rule and reign. I exercise authority over satan and his
works. In the name of Jesus, i command sickness, disappointment, delay,
failure, lack etc, to go in the name of Jesus. I decree that it is well with me
in the name of Jesus.
