#EaglesDevotional -- WALK ON THE WORD - 1

“But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me” Matthew 14:30.

And Jesus went to them walking on the sea. If Jesus put you in a boat, no matter how terrible the wind may be, Jesus will get to you. He will keep you. You cannot sink. He will get you to the other side. Your marriage, business, destiny, etc will not sink. When they saw Jesus coming, fear gripped them. They said, “He is a ghost”. These men had been with Jesus but they could not recognize Him because of fear.

Fear will confuse your vision. Fear will destroy your dreams, fear will frustrate you out of your goals. When fear grips you, you will not recognize God. It will make your trouble look bigger than it is and blind you from what God is doing. When you are in trouble, the devil will never come to help you. Calm down, rebuke the spirit of fear from your life.

Suddenly, Peter said, Lord, if it is you, bid me come and Jesus said “come”. Peter then stepped on water and started walking towards Jesus. Peter did not walk on water, He walked on the word. When Jesus said, “COME”, THE WORD became a carpet on the water. Peter walked on the Word of God and as he did, the devil gave him a word. Every time, you try to walk on the word of God, the devil will give you another word to counteract the word.

Then the devil began to speak to his heart, fear came again and he began to sink. When he began to listen to the devil’s word, he began to sink. When you listen to the devil’s word, you sink. Thank God, Peter cried to Jesus, He said, Lord, help me. He was not pretending to have the solution. He cried out to Jesus and Jesus took him by the hand, lifted him up and guess where He put Peter back on? He put him on the word.

The Bible did not tell us how they got to the boat. Jesus put him back on the word and they walked on the boat together. No matter the temptation you face, the word of God is good enough for you. If you are sinking, cry out for Jesus help, He will take you and put you back on the word. When the devil fights your family, marriage, job, business, trade, education, etc, Just stand on that word and you will overcome.

Prayer/Confession: I rebuke the spirit of fear from my life in Jesus name. come out.Jesus walked on the water. He said, it is I be not afraid. God wants to walk in your life. Do not be afraid.
