“...And exalt the horn of his
anointed...” (1Samuel 2:10 KJV)
When the horn of an anointed man
is exalted, he becomes a standard. The impossible becomes possible.
A horn symbolizes position and
authority. When God exalts your horn it means, He lifts you high and gives you
divine authority over every circumstance. You become an extraordinary being; a
surprise to your generation, More so, as you are the anointed of the Lord.
When the anointing is upon you,
you can never go down; what happens instead is that you become divinely
prepared to go higher.
The Lord says in Psalm 132: 17,
“there will I make the horn of David to bud: I have ordained a lamp for mine
anointed”. In other words, the anointing will bring illumination and a sense of
direction into your life. You will suddenly know where to find the way that you
could not find before, reach the helper that you grappled to reach before now
and discover with joy that, the ideas you need to bring about your elevation
are readily available at your disposal. The anointing places you above your
equals. This was why David said in Psalm 23: 5, “Thou anointest my head with
oil, my cup runneth over.” What an assurance!
In other words, it is the oil
(the anointing) that causes your cup to overflow. Therefore, if there is no
anointing, there will be no overflow.
