"And it came… that the soul
of Jonathan was knit with the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own
soul" (I Samuel 18:1).
When David the shepherd boy was
to move to another level in life, Goliath appeared. Just as David killed
Goliath, God ordained you from the foundation of the world to kill Goliaths.
Goliath stands for obstacles. But the truth you must keep before you is that,
after David killed Goliath, Saul took over. Saul is symbolic of satanic
restriction. Saul is worse than Goliath. You know why? Saul has the POWER, the
MONEY and the INFLUENCE. Every stage of your life has different obstacles that
you must overcome to be able to move on in life towards realizing your dream.
You are probably feeling helpless
because there apparently is nobody you can run to for help. Saul was ignorant
of the salient fact that David was serving the God that has the whole world in
His hands. Otherwise, he would have known that he was not going to be able to
conceal or stop David anyhow. The same thing applies to you. Anyone or any
obstacle that wants to humiliate you to a level below God's placement will not
succeed.
God will send you a helper – even from your enemy's camp! "And it
came… that the soul of Jonathan was knit with the soul of David, and Jonathan
loved him as his own soul" (I Sam 18:1). Jonathan was not only Saul's son,
but was the heir apparent. He was David's best friend because God had ordained
it that he should be David's helper. His only dream was to make David great,
rather than a successor to his own father, Saul. Your helper is not going to
compete with you. Some people who usually want to help you are actually after
your secret? God will raise genuine helpers for you.
When God raises a Jonathan for
you, He will use your secret to complement you and show you the way. When that
Jonathan comes, he will lift from you that burden which is too heavy for you.
It is not God's desire for you to carry a heavy burden.
