“For if Abraham were justified by
works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God… Abraham believed God, and
it was counted unto him for righteousness…
But to him that worketh not, but
beliveth on him that Justified the ungodly, his faith is counted for
righteousness” (Romans 4:2-5).
No man can be born again except
by faith. How do you know you are saved? Is there any physical sign for
salvation? Could it be by your facial looks?
When you accept Jesus Christ as
your Lord and personal Savoir, you just believe you are saved because God
said, if you will believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus
is Lord, thou shall be saved. Your faith/belief is the assurance of the
salvation that you have. When you are saved, you become a righteous man/woman.
You become righteous not by what
you did or can do but by faith i.e. belief. You must believe that you are
Righteous because, “the just shall live by faith” (Romans 1:17b). Your
righteousness is by faith. You must believe that you are no longer a sinner and
you are not condemned no matter what you did in the past. You must believe that
the righteousness of God is in you and as such, you are Righteous.
