“Whosoever is born of God does
not commit sin, for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is
born of God” (1 John. 3:9)
Many Christians do not dwell on
this scripture. They wonder if it is possible to live without committing sin.
Beloved, it is possible to live a
life without sin. The scripture says, whosoever is born of God does not commit
sin. This means when you are born again, you have the very nature of God. Your
spirit and not your flesh controls you actions and inactions And when this
happens, you loose the ability to sin.
This does not mean you will not
be tempted. Even Jesus was tempted of the devil but He did not fall into it. In
fact, temptations are meant to strengthen our faith and trust in God and not to
pull us down or out of faith. You have the power to overcome the temptation of
sin. There is always an escape route for you in every temptation. Do not fall
prey to the devil. It is his scheme to deny you of your breakthrough. In 1
Corinthians 10:13b, scripture says, in that temptation, there is a way of
escape.
