“And he entered into one of the
ships, which was Simon's, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little”
(Luke. 5:3)
Peter and his friend were washing
their nets to go home after they had toiled all night without catching a single
fish. God looked down from heaven and had compassion on Peter and He spoke to
His Son who in obedience stepped into Peter's boat. Jesus told peter to move
his boat a little form the land into the lake. Peter had a choice, he could
refuse it particularly because he was already in a bad mood and he had people
around him to discourage him. But he said yes to Him. After Jesus was done
preaching, He said to peter “lunch into the deep” why into the deep?
Miracles don't occur in shallow waters,
but in the deep. The best is within the worst. I want you to know that Jesus
asking Peter to throw his net again into the water was deliberately challenging
him to make a choice. Peter responded positively “…… at thy word I will let
down the net” (Luke. 5:5 KJV).
Whenever you take a stand for
Christ or act according to God’s word, you are taking the right choice and that
act will bring you your breakthrough. You may have been criticized because you
made a choice for the Lord. Be encouraged, your choice is going to bring you a
better tomorrow.
