“That I may
know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of his
sufferings, being made conformable unto His death.” Philippians 3:10
Paul said,
that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection. What you do not know can
injure you. The word of God says in Romans 8:11, “but if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in
you, He that raised up Jesus from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies
by His spirit that dwells in you.”
The power
that raised Him from the dead is not of man or the devil. It is neither
political nor economic, but it is the power of the Holy Spirit and if you have
that power dwelling in you, it will raise you from your condition.
When Jesus
was hanging from the cross, the devil was not thinking of resurrection. He did
not know anything like that was going to happen, especially when Jesus cried, “My
God my God, why hath thou forsaken me?” The devil would have laughed at Him.
Do you feel
forsaken in life? Resurrection is coming to you today. The devil thought it was
over. In hell, he was celebrating; he said “His father has forsaken Him”. He
died and was buried but in a few hours, there was a knock at the gate of hell.
According to Psalm 24, Jesus shouted, “Lift
up your heads o ye gates and ye everlasting doors be ye lifted up and the King
of glory shall come in.”
The devil
was trembling and confused. He said, “Who is this King of glory?” and Jesus answered,
“The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.” By a remote control,
the gates of hell opened and the King of glory stepped into hell. He went to
hell for battle. Jesus said “Give me the keys of death and hell.” And the devil
handed over the keys to Jesus, Jesus took the keys.
In Matthew 28:2, God dispatched an angel; the bible says there was an earthquake. The
angel took the stone, rolled it away and sat on it. Why did the angel sit on
the stone? So that nobody can roll it back again. The stone that Jesus is
rolling from your life, nobody can roll it back again. The devil cannot roll it
back; the enemy cannot roll it back again because God’s angel is sitting on the
stone. The stone of sickness, oppression, depression, trouble, disease,
confusion, sin, He is sitting on the stone.
Although we
cannot see that angel but he is sitting on the stone. In Proverbs 26:27b, the
Bible says “… and he that rolleth a
stone, it will return to him.” If you understand God’s principles, you will
arise out of your condition. Have you been believing God to arise? This is a
good day to arise. If Jesus rose, you can rise.

PRAYER/CONFESSION: Put your
hands on your head. Satan, I know that you could not trap Jesus under the
ground, He arose. He arose because of me, so therefore, satan, I arise today
out of sickness, sin, and difficulty, today is resurrection Sunday.
