“Giving thanks to the Father who has made
qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light.” (Colossians 1:12)
You must
understand that you cannot inherit anything from anyone you do not have a
relationship with. There has to be some relationship for you to inherit anything
from anybody. People do not walk on the street looking for someone to give an
inheritance to. They would rather give 5 million dollars to an animal they know,
than give it to a human being they do not know.
I heard of a lady who left 5 million dollars
to about 30 cats, now. She preferred to give her money to cats that she knew,
than to human beings that she didn’t know. You cannot inherit anything from
someone you do not have a relationship with.
The worst
enemy of the gospel is religion. Christianity is more than just a religion. God
is tired of religious people. Christianity is a relationship. It’s a
relationship between a man and his God. You’ve got to know Him for yourself.
The Bible says if any man be in Christ he is a new creature.
What kind of
relationship do you have with the father? To have a relationship with Christ
means to know Him personally for yourself; to have a continuous experience with
Him; to discover the truth as contained in the Holy Bible; to live your life
according to the word of God.When you are in Christ,you live a changed life.
Your relationship with Christ must be very glaring that everyone around you
should be able to testify that something has changed about you. You cannot meet
with Christ and remain the same.
Until you
have a relationship with Jesus, you cannot be a partaker of His inheritance.
God has given us an inheritance but you must establish a relationship with Him
to have access to your inheritance.
PRAYER/CONFESSION: In the name
of Jesus, I receive my inheritance in Christ Jesus. Christ has redeemed me from
the curse of the law being made a curse unto all. Therefore, I receive my
inheritance in Christ Jesus, Amen.
