“There hath no temptation taken you but such as is
common to man: but God is faithful, who
will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the
temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it”
1 Corinthians
10:13
The
first key
to victory over temptation is, you must understand that the temptation you are
facing is common. It has happened before and it has been solved before.
In Ecclesiastics 1:9b, the Bible says, “...and there is
no new thing under the sun”.
The devil will always want to make you believe that
the temptation you are facing is the biggest in the world and there is no
solution. If you believe this lie of the devil, you become hopeless and your
faith begins to malfunction because hope and faith are closely connected. See Hebrews 11:1
God
wants you to know that the temptation you are facing is not new and if He made
a way before, He will make a way for you. Never lose your faith /confidence in
God.
PRAYER/CONFESSION: Lord, I believe Your word. I know You will make a way through every red sea of my life.
