“If any man be in
Christ, he is a new creature, old things are passed away; behold, all things
are become new” 2 Corinthians 5:17.
A miracle is a supernatural intervention of Almighty God in a
situation that man can no longer help himself and then God through signs and
wonders demonstrates the evidence of His power.
The greatest
miracle that can ever happen to a man/woman is the miracle of salvation; to
know Jesus as your Lord and personal saviour. It cannot happen by a man but by
the supernatural intervention of God. In 2 Corinthians
5:17, the Bible says, “If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature, old
things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
Your life cannot be
new or changed by your power but by the power of God. Today, God is extending
the greatest miracle to your life. Your life can be changed today. In Acts 9,
the Bible talks about a man named Saul. He did not believe in Christ hence he
persecuted the church greatly. One day, while he was on his way to Damascus to
kill believers, a mighty light shone from Heaven and he fell on the ground. He
heard a voice saying “Saul Saul, why do you persecute me... I am Jesus whom you
persecute”.
That day, the power
of God touched him and that man that was against God said, what would you have
me do? His life was turned around. A man that did not believe in Jesus became
the Greatest Apostle that ever lived. He wrote most of the New Testament. He
testified more about Jesus than any other disciple in his days. At one time in
his life, he did not care about Jesus but a miracle took place and his life was
turned around. He received the miracle. He became a child of God. It is the
greatest miracle.
It happened to
Zaccheaus. He climbed on a tree looking for Jesus and Jesus asked him to come
down. The Bible says, Jesus went to his house and began to share the good news
with him. He was a tax collector. He was a big man in society but he was a
crook. He had enriched himself through bribery. When he heard the word of God,
he fell on his knees and said, Jesus, i will return four times all I took from
people and Jesus said to him, today, salvation is come to your house. What
Jesus was saying was that Zaccheaus, you have received the greatest miracle on
earth.
You may be sick or
have other needs but this is the greatest need, for you to bow your knees to
Jesus. You can be in church all your life and not meet God on that day. You can
be so religious but yet miss God. You must know God as your Lord and saviour.
If you have
backslidden, you need to come back to God. This country needs to go back to
God. Let us be reconciled to the Almighty. Let God touch and change our lives.
Prayer/Confession:
Heavenly father, i take authority over the devil and its works from my life. I
command the saving power to set me loose in Jesus name. I invoke the mighty
power of God to come upon my life and home with a testimony to God
